§ 18. Inactive status. A person licensed under this Act who notifies the Department, in writing on forms prescribed by the Department, may place his or her license on inactive status and shall be excused from payment of renewal fees until the Department is notified in writing of that person's desire to resume active status.
Any professional engineer whose license is in inactive status shall not practice professional engineering in the State of Illinois.
