§ 16-111.6. Termination of utility service to electric space-heating customers. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act or any other law to the contrary, a public utility that, on December 31, 2005, served more than 100,000 electric customers in Illinois may not, prior to September 1, 2007, terminate electric service to a residential electric space-heating customer for non-payment. For 2007 and every year thereafter, such an electric utility shall not terminate electric service to a residential space-heating customer for non-payment from December 1 through March 31.
