§ 143.21c. Earthquake insurance; notice. In response to all applications for homeowners insurance, pursuant to subsection (b) of Section 143.13 of this Act, received by the insurance company for coverage on property located in the New Madrid Seismic Zone, as defined by the United States Geological Survey in Illinois, susceptible to Modified Mercalli intensity VII or greater damage, information shall be provided by the insurance company to the applicant regarding the availability of insurance for loss caused by earthquake.
