§ 9.01. The Department may conduct any such investigations and inspections as it deems necessary to assess compliance with this Act and the rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto. Investigations and inspections may include the direct observation of patient care or the provision of home services in the home, if consent is given by the consumer or patient under treatment. Agencies licensed under this Act shall make available to the Department all books, records, policies and procedures, or any other materials requested during the course of an investigation or inspection. Refusal to make such materials available to the Department shall be grounds for license revocation, or the imposition of any other penalty provided in this Act.
