Illinois Statutes Chapter 210. Health Facilities and Regulation § 45/3-708. Rules of evidence; procedure

§ 3-708. The Director or hearing officer shall not be bound by common law or statutory rules of evidence, or by technical or formal rules of procedure, but shall conduct hearings in the manner best calculated to result in substantial justice.
