§ 2. The Illinois Department of Public Health shall upon receiving reports made under this Act, seek to protect residents and prevent further harm to the resident who was the subject of the report and other residents in the facility. In performing these duties, the Department may utilize such protective services of other State departments, commissions, boards or other agencies and any voluntary agencies as are available.
