§ 35. No officer, agent or employee of the Department of Children and Family Services shall be directly or indirectly interested in any contract, or other agreement for building, repairing, furnishing or supplying such institutions, or for disposing of the product, or products, of any such institution. Any violation of this Section shall subject the offender, on conviction, to be punished by a fine of not more than double the amount of such contract or agreement, or by imprisonment in the penitentiary for a term of not less than one or more than 3 years.
