§ 5-600. Officer's performance of duties. Each officer provided for by the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois 1 shall perform the duties that are prescribed by law for the officer's position and to the best of the officer's ability shall render faithful and efficient service in the performance of those duties, to the end that the public interest and welfare may be furthered.
