§ 4.5. Division of Historic Preservation. On and after August 3, 2018 (the effective date of Public Act 100-695), the Division of Historic Preservation of the Department of Natural Resources shall be created. The head of the Division shall be known as the Division Manager of Historic Preservation. The Department of Natural Resources may employ or retain other persons to assist in the discharge of its functions, subject to the Personnel Code and any other applicable Department policies.
