§ 10-23. High-risk pregnant or postpartum individuals. The Department shall expand and update its maternal child health programs to serve pregnant and postpartum individuals determined to be high-risk using criteria established by a multi-agency working group. The services shall be provided by registered nurses, licensed social workers, or other staff with behavioral health or medical training, as approved by the Department. The persons providing the services may collaborate with other providers, including, but not limited to, obstetricians, gynecologists, or pediatricians, when providing services to a patient.
