§ 5. Advertisements. The Department of Employment Security shall immediately put itself in communication with the principal manufacturers, merchants, and other employers of labor, and use all diligence in securing the cooperation of those employers of labor, with the purpose and objects of the employment offices. To this end the Department may advertise in the columns of newspapers, or other mediums, for such situations as it has applicants to fill, and it may advertise in a general way for the cooperation of large contractors and employers in such trade journals or special publications as reach those employers, whether the trade or special journals are published within the State of Illinois or not.
Full information shall be given to applicants regarding the existence of any strike or lockout in the establishment of any employer seeking workers through the Illinois Public Employment Offices.
