§ 7.2. Literacy Advisory Board. There is created a Literacy Advisory Board, consisting of the Secretary of State or his designee as chairperson, 2 members from the Illinois State Library or their designees, 2 members from the Illinois State Board of Education or their designees and 3 Illinois citizens interested in the literacy issue, all appointed by the Secretary of State. The Literacy Advisory Board shall review community and workplace proposals for funding of literacy programs in Illinois submitted through the Office of the Secretary of State and recommend to the Secretary of State those deserving of funding. The Illinois State Library may promulgate rules and regulations to establish standards for literacy program funding criteria.
