Illinois Statutes Chapter 110. Higher Education § 990/1. Definitions

(a) “Public institutions of higher education” means the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, Western Illinois University, and the public community colleges subject to the “Public Community College Act”. 1

(b) “Credit Course” means any program of study for which public institutions of higher education award credit hours.

(c) “Senior citizen” means any person 65 years or older whose annual household income is less than the threshold amount provided in Section 4 of the “Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities Property Tax Relief Act”, approved July 17, 1972, as amended. 2
