§ 2. There is created the Sewage Treatment Operators Training Institute Committee composed of 3 sewage treatment operators designated by the Governor and 3 representatives of Southern Illinois University designated by the Trustees thereof and a Public Water Supply Operators Training Institute Committee composed of 3 public water supply operators designated by the Governor and 3 representatives of Southern Illinois University designated by the Trustees thereof. However, if in the discretion of the Trustees of Southern Illinois University the purposes of this Act can best be served by one committee, such committee shall be composed of 6 members designated by the Governor, 3 of whom are sewage treatment operators and 3 of whom are public water supply operators, and 3 representatives of Southern Illinois University designated by the Trustees thereof. Members of the Committee shall serve without compensation but shall be reimbursed for their actual expenses incurred in the performance of their duties. Members shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority designating them to Committee membership.
