§ 40-15. Transfer of employees and students. On the effective date of this Article, the employment of all academic and nonacademic personnel of Sangamon State University (now known as the University of Illinois at Springfield) is hereby transferred from the Board of Regents to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, but the locus of their employment shall not be transferred. The transfer shall not affect the status and rights of any person under the State Universities Retirement System or the State Universities Civil Service System. On the effective date of this Article, the individuals whose employment is so transferred shall be credited with earned vacation days and sick leave days accrued before the transfer.
On the effective date of this Article, individuals who are students of Sangamon State University shall be students of the University of Illinois at Springfield.
