§ 6-61. It shall be the duty of the clerk of any court where parties are tried or convicted of penitentiary offenses in the county where such city, village or incorporated town is located, to furnish monthly to such board of commissioners the names of all parties convicted or sentenced for any crime, the punishment of which is confinement in the penitentiary, and their place of residence if such fact be in the possession of such clerk.
