§ 6-16. After and from the time of the adoption of this Article and Articles 14 and 18 of this Act, as aforesaid, the provisions of the said Articles shall be applicable to such cities, villages or incorporated towns, together with such other sections of this Act which are made specifically applicable thereto, and all laws in conflict therewith shall no longer be applicable to such cities, villages or incorporated towns. But all laws or parts of laws not inconsistent with the provisions of said Articles and sections shall continue in force and be applicable to any such city, village or incorporated town, the same as if said Articles and sections had not been adopted.
