§ 2A-51. Schools--Trustee--Time of Election. Except in a township in which all school districts located therein have withdrawn from the jurisdiction and authority of the trustees of schools under the provisions of subsection (b) of Section 5-1 of the School Code 1 and except in townships in which the office of trustee of schools has been abolished as provided in subsection (c) of Section 5-1 of the School Code, a trustee of schools shall be elected in townships at the consolidated election which immediately precedes the expiration of the term of any incumbent trustee, to succeed each incumbent trustee whose term ends before the following consolidated election.
