The term of office of each member shall be four (4) years; provided that all members' terms shall be extended to June 30 of the year their terms expire. When a member's term expires, the governor shall appoint a member for a four (4) year term which shall be from July 1 to June 30 four (4) calendar years later. A vacancy shall be filled for the remainder of the term. The governor shall designate a chairman and a vice-chairman from the members of the commission to serve as such at the pleasure of the governor. All vacancies shall be filled for the balance of the unexpired term in the same manner as original appointments. The members of the commission shall be compensated as provided by section 59-509(b), Idaho Code.
