The 2023 National Electrical Code, NFPA 70, is hereby adopted by the Idaho legislature. The 2023 National Electrical Code, NFPA 70, together with any amendments, revisions, or modifications by the Idaho electrical board through negotiated rulemaking shall collectively constitute and be named the Idaho electrical code. All installations in the state of Idaho of wires and equipment to convey electric current and installations of apparatus to be operated by such current, except as provided in this chapter, shall be made substantially in accord with the Idaho electrical code.
