If a policy provides any benefits for pregnancy, childbirth or miscarriage and if an employee or dependent covered for such benefit is pregnant at the time of discontinuance and is not eligible for any replacement group coverage within sixty (60) days of discontinuance, the policy must provide that benefits will be payable to the same extent as if discontinuance had not occurred for any covered benefits in connection with such pregnancy, childbirth or miscarriage, but not beyond a period of twelve (12) months following such discontinuance.
