The bond shall be limited in its operation to a term not exceeding one year, the same to be fixed by the district judge, and at any time within thirty days of the expiration of the term, the complainant may renew the complainant's application, and the order for security may be renewed on the oath of the complainant, declaring that the complainant still fears the execution of the prisoner's former designs, provided the district judge, after hearing the circumstances of the case, shall deem such fear well-founded.
