(a) An employer who employs less than eight employees entitled to coverage under this chapter and who provides coverage to such employees pursuant to section 393-7(a) shall be entitled to premium supplementation from the fund if the employer's share of the cost of providing such coverage as determined by sections 393-13 and 393-15 exceeds 1.5 per cent of the total wages payable to such employees and if the amount of such excess is greater than five per cent of the employer's income before taxes directly attributable to the business in which such employees are employed.
(b) The amount of the supplementation shall be that part of the employer's share of the premium cost which exceeds the limits specified in subsection (a).
