Every operator or storer shall keep an accurate record of the receipts and the withdrawals with reference to cold storage of all articles of food within the operator's possession and control. Every operator shall also keep an accurate record of storers having exclusive possession of a portion of the operator's or storer's cold storage.
All articles of food when deposited in cold storage shall be marked plainly on or in connection with the containers in which they are packed or on the individual article, with the date of receipt, and, when removed from cold storage, shall be marked with the date of withdrawal, in accordance with such forms as may be prescribed by the department of health.
The department shall have free access to these records at any time.
