The department shall:
(1) Work with the department of human services to maximize participation in the federal summer electronic benefits transfer for children program established pursuant to the federal Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, P.L. 117-328;
(2) Share all data determined by the departments to be necessary to adhere to the requirements of title 42 United States Code section 1762 and section 346-53.1; and
(3) Follow the federal guidelines and regulations established pursuant to title IV, division HH, section 502 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, P.L. 117-328, to maximize flexibility to distribute summer meals through non-congregate distribution.
