Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to relieve any business entity or employing unit which is subject to any of the provisions of this chapter from the responsibility of said business entity or employing unit to comply with any other provision of state or federal law, including, but not specifically limited to, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Act 1 or with any county or municipal law, rule, or ordinance which is not in direct conflict with any provision of this chapter.
