(a) A person who signs a document he or she knows is false in any material respect with intent that the document be delivered to the Secretary of State for filing shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $500.00.
(b) A document filed under this chapter may be signed by an attorney in fact. Whenever this chapter requires a particular individual to sign a document and the individual is deceased or incompetent, the document may be signed by a legal representative of the individual.
(c) A person who signs a document as an attorney in fact or legal representative affirms as a fact that such person is authorized to sign the document.
