Upon preparation of an inventory of prime groundwater recharge areas for the Floridan or Biscayne aquifers, but prior to adoption by the governing board, the water management district shall publish a legal notice of public hearing on the designated areas for the Floridan and Biscayne aquifers, with a map delineating the boundaries of the areas, as provided in chapter 50. The notice shall be at least one-fourth page and shall read as follows:
NOTICE OF PRIME RECHARGE AREA DESIGNATION
The (name of taxing authority) proposes to designate specific land areas as areas of prime recharge to the (name of aquifer) Aquifer.
All concerned citizens are invited to attend a public hearing on the proposed designation to be held on (date and time) at (meeting place) .
A map of the affected areas follows.
The governing board of the water management district shall adopt a designation of prime groundwater recharge areas to the Floridan and Biscayne aquifers by rule within 120 days after the public hearing, subject to the provisions of chapter 120.
