The Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission or a center's advisory board may inspect and copy any documents from the center as required to carry out the commission's or the respective board's oversight responsibilities, including information and documents related to applicant evaluations and center expenditures. In addition, the commission or board may inspect and copy the documentation of any internal or independent audits conducted by or on behalf of the centers to ensure that candidate and inservice officer assessments have been made and that expenditures are in conformance with the requirements of this act and with other applicable procedures.
