The county commissioners may require of all bidders for said bonds that they give security by bond, running to the county commissioners, with sureties, that the bidder will comply with the terms of the bid, and any bidder whose bid shall be accepted shall, with his or her sureties, be liable to the county for all damages on account of the nonperformance of the terms of his or her bid.
