Connecticut General Statutes Title 9. Elections § 9-4c. System for submitting electronic signature for purposes of signing elections forms and applications

(a) The Secretary of the State shall develop and implement a system or systems through which the Secretary may permit any person to submit an electronic signature for the purpose of signing any form or application to be filed pursuant to chapters 141 to 154,  1 inclusive. The Secretary may include in, or exclude from, such system any such form or application. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any such form or application on which any such electronic signature appears shall be deemed to have been signed in the original.

(b) A state agency, upon the request of the Secretary of the State, shall provide any information to the Secretary that the Secretary deems necessary to maintain the system or systems described in subsection (a) of this section. The Secretary shall not use the information obtained from any state agency except for the purpose of allowing any person to sign any form or application to be filed pursuant to chapters 141 to 154, inclusive.
