Each political subdivision of the state which grants to its full-time permanent employees, on account of illness or injury, sick leave with pay, may exclude any such payment from wages for which Social Security contributions are made, in accordance with the provisions of Subsection (b) of Section 209 of the federal Social Security Act of August 14, 1935 (49 Stat. 625), 1 as from time to time amended.
