Connecticut General Statutes Title 7. Municipalities § 7-369a. Issuance of bonds subject to federal income taxes

Any municipality having the power to issue bonds or other obligations under any provision of the general statutes, or of any special act or its charter, may issue such bonds or other obligations in such form and manner that the interest on such bonds or other obligations may be includable under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986,  1 or any subsequent corresponding internal revenue code of the United States, as from time to time amended, in the gross income of the holder or holders of such bonds or other obligations. Any municipality may issue such taxable bonds or other obligations only upon a finding by its selectmen or board of finance or other officers or board authorized pursuant to the general statutes, or pursuant to any special act or its charter, to determine the rate of interest which such bonds or other obligations shall bear, that the issuance of such taxable bonds or other obligations is in the public interest.
