(a) A person who consents under section 46b-512 to assisted reproduction may withdraw consent at any time before a transfer that results in a pregnancy, by giving notice in a record of the withdrawal of consent to the person who agreed to give birth to a child conceived by assisted reproduction and to any clinic or health care provider facilitating the assisted reproduction. Failure to give notice to the clinic or health care provider shall not affect a determination of parentage under sections 46b-450 to 46b-553, inclusive.
(b) A person who withdraws consent under subsection (a) of this section is not a parent of the child under sections 46b-509 to 46b-517, inclusive.
