Connecticut General Statutes Title 32. Commerce and Economic and Community Development § 32-6. Connecticut building at Eastern States Exposition

(a) The management and control of the operation and affairs of the Connecticut building at the Eastern States Exposition at West Springfield shall be in the charge of the Department of Economic and Community Development. Maintenance of the land and building shall be the responsibility of the Department of Administrative Services. Coverage by fire and casualty insurance shall be the responsibility of the State Insurance and Risk Management Board in accordance with the provisions of section 4a-20. The building and land shall be used by the Department of Economic and Community Development, in cooperation with public and private agencies, to conduct an educational exhibit which will promote the agricultural, industrial, recreational and other physical and natural resources of this state.

(b)(1) There is established an account to be known as the Connecticut Eastern States Exposition account. The account shall contain any moneys required by law to be deposited in the account and shall be a separate, nonlapsing account of the General Fund. Investment earnings credited to the account shall become part of the assets of the account. Any balance remaining in said account at the end of any fiscal year shall be carried forward in the account for the next fiscal year.

(2) There shall be deposited in the Connecticut Eastern States Exposition account any proceeds realized by the state from activities pursuant to this section.

(3) Amounts in the Connecticut Eastern States Exposition account shall be available to fund the cost of any activities of the Department of Economic and Community Development pursuant to this section, including administrative costs related to such activities.
