Any person, as defined in section 1-1, who installs residential water treatment systems, including, but not limited to, automatic water softeners or tanks, shall provide each customer who seeks installation of an automatic water softener or tank with written information concerning the importance of testing such customer's drinking water for the presence of sodium and chloride and the potential consequences of excessive levels of sodium and chloride in such drinking water.
