While the holder of a limited license issued pursuant to chapter 393 1 is enrolled in an unlimited license apprenticeship program, such limited license holder shall continue to be considered a journeyman or contractor for limited work performance in such area for purposes of section 20-332b and any regulation of Connecticut state agencies adopted pursuant to said section. The limited license of the registered apprentice in an unlimited category shall not be used to calculate the number of apprentices that may be hired by a contractor in accordance with section 20-332b.
