Each child care center and group child care home, as defined in section 19a-77, that is funded by the state pursuant to section 8-210, 17b-737 or 17b-752 shall: (1) Provide for parents' participation in setting goals for and evaluating the progress of their children; (2) assist parents with their responsibility of educating their children; (3) assist parents in working with child care programs, communicating with teachers and other child care program personnel, and participating in decisions relating to the education of their children; (4) assist staff with their responsibility of working with the child's parents to promote parent-education partnerships; and (5) take other actions, when appropriate, to support the active involvement of parents with child care programs, school personnel and with the transition to school-related organizations.
