The Commissioner of Public Health may conduct audits of local health department food protection programs. Such audits may include, but need not be limited to, interviews with local health department staff members and joint inspections with local health department staff members of local food establishments. Upon the conclusion of any such audit, the Commissioner of Public Health shall provide the local director of health with a report detailing such audit's findings and any recommended or necessary corrective actions to be taken by such director.
