On or before January 1, 2006, each hospital licensed under chapter 368v 1 shall (1) contract with a patient safety organization, as defined in section 19a-127o, to gather medical or health-care-related data from the hospital and make recommendations to the hospital on ways to improve patient care and safety, and (2) provide documentation to the Department of Public Health, in such form and manner as the department prescribes, that the hospital has complied with the provisions of subdivision (1) of this section.
