The Commissioner of Social Services, within available appropriations, shall include an adult family living classification in the rated housing category under the state supplement to the federal Supplemental Security Income Program. The commissioner shall also adopt regulations, in accordance with chapter 54, 1 defining “adult family living” for the purpose of creating such classification.
