Not later than July 1, 2016, the Department of Education shall provide information to local and regional boards of education about (1) research-based practices on how to involve parents and legal guardians of eligible students in the language acquisition process, and (2) native language accommodations for students on the state-wide mastery examination, administered pursuant to section 10-14n.
