(1) Each eligible individual who is partially unemployed shall be paid a partial benefit. Partial benefits shall be in an amount equal to the eligible individual's weekly benefit amount for total unemployment, minus that part of wages payable to the individual with respect to the week that is in excess of fifty percent of the individual's weekly benefit amount as computed in accordance with section 8-73-102, and the benefit payment resulting shall be computed to the next lower multiple of one dollar.
(2) The director of the division is authorized to prescribe regulations governing benefits for partial unemployment for other pay periods which will result in benefit amounts for such periods proportionate to the amounts prescribed in this article for weekly pay periods.
