The dividends of any unsettled assignment which remain unclaimed for such time as specified in this article after the final dividend has been decided, upon the application of one or more creditors of such assignor, shall be paid by the assignee under direction of the court to the known creditors of the assignor after giving notice to the creditors that a final distribution of all unclaimed dividends is to be made.
