Leases for registered land for a term of three years or more shall be registered in like manner as a mortgage, and the provisions of section 38-36-160 relating to the registration of mortgages shall also apply to the registration of leases. The registrar shall, at the request of the lessee, make out and deliver to him a duplicate of the certificate of title like the owner's duplicate, except the words “lessee's duplicate” shall be written or printed upon it in large letters diagonally across its face.
