Appellate review as provided by law and the Colorado appellate rules shall lie to review the orders, judgments, or decrees of the district court entered in either of the proceedings provided in sections 37-43-169 to 37-43-178, and the supreme court shall advance such cases upon its docket. The supreme court may provide for further proceedings upon said petitions and may make further rules of procedure in such cases in the same manner and to the same extent as it may provide amendments or further rules of procedure under the Colorado rules of civil procedure.
