(1) There is established in the state treasury the breast cancer screening fund, which is subject to annual appropriation to the department for the purposes of this part 15. The fund shall be credited with such appropriations as the general assembly may make from the general fund for the purposes of this part 15, money received by the department pursuant to section 25-4-1505(2) and (4), and money transferred to the fund pursuant to section 25.5-5-308(9)(h). In accordance with section 24-36-114, all interest derived from the deposit and investment of the fund is credited to the general fund.
(2) All moneys credited to the breast cancer screening fund which are not expended during the fiscal year shall be retained in the fund for its future use and shall not be credited or transferred to the general fund or any other fund.
