As used in this part 7, unless the context otherwise requires:
(1) “Applicant” means an entity that:
(a) Has the capacity to host regional talent summits across the state that convene to understand regional labor market needs in each region of the state or has the capacity to convene, facilitate, and report on regional talent summit findings; and
(b) Applies for a grant from the grant program.
(2) “Fund” means the regional talent summit grant program fund created in section 24-48.5-705.
(3) “Grant program” means the regional talent summit grant program created in section 24-48.5-704.
(4) “Office” means the Colorado office of economic development created in section 24-48.5-101.
(5) “Program facilitator” means an applicant to which the office awards a grant and with which the office contracts pursuant to section 24-48.5-704(2)(a).
(6) “Regional host” means an applicant that has been granted an award to support the costs of hosting a regional talent summit.
(7) “Regional talent summit” means a convening of state and regional stakeholders to discuss the economic and workforce needs of their region and the programs and resources that might address those needs.
(8) “Selection committee” means the selection committee appointed pursuant to section 24-48.5-704(4)(a) to review and make recommendations about applicants, to select and award a grant to the regional host, and to select and award a grant to the program facilitator.
