Any person who practices or offers or attempts nursing aide practice or medication administration without an active certificate of authority issued under this part 2; practices in a medical facility as a nurse aide except as provided in this part 2; uses any designation in connection with the person's name that tends to imply that the person is a certified nurse aide unless the person is so certified under this part 2; practices as a nurse aide during any period when the person's certificate has been suspended or revoked; or sells or fraudulently obtains or furnishes a certificate to practice as a nurse aide or aids or abets therein commits a class 2 misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in section 18-1.3-501.
