Code of Federal Regulations Title 7. Agriculture § 7.91.19 General requirements of suitable samples

(a) Samples must be representative of the product tested and provided in sufficient quantity for the analyses requested.

(b) Each sample must be identified with the following information:

(1) Product type (specific description);

(2) Lot number or production date;

(3) Analyses desired;

(4) Date/time collected;

(5) Storage conditions prior to shipping;

(6) Name of applicant;

(7) Name of sampler;

(8) Any other information which is required by the specific program under which analysis or test is performed.

 Includes matters within the responsibility of the Federal Grain Inspection Service.
